Hi,

We traveled on flight QR777(Doha-Miami) on 05-Nov-2016, flight reached destination(Miami) 21 minutes late(i.e. 5:56PM).By the time we reached, many other flights reached to that airport and there were long queues at the immigration/customs/security.

We have a connection flight from the same airport at 07:30 PM so we requested security team to allow us in faster lines to clear up immigration/customs/security checks, though they helped us to move in express lines there were many people waiting in those queues as well. Finally we reached gate 10 later than scheduled departure time & missed the connection flight(Miami-Minneapolis(American Airlines)).

Since there is a delay in landing, we requested for accommodation & re-booking to another flight. But american airlines strictly said that they won't provide any accommodation since the delay is due to their business partner flight(Qatar) and there were no Qatar customer service to help us.

We booked accommodation on our own & later filed a complaint with Qatar for refund but they simple rejected saying that 21 minutes is not a delay.

Once after getting down from flight, we need to clear immigration/ customs/ baggage re-check/ security-check prior to the boarding of the connection flight.Since there is a delay in landing, long queues formed and all these activities(immigration/customs check/Baggage re-check/security check) got delayed and connection flight missed.

Also Qatar business partner(American airlines) didn't even provide any accommodation though we had small kid with us, simply told us to reach out to Qatar where there is no QATAR team to check.
