Angry DO NOT buy into the Flight Pass program

I am writing regarding a fraudulent and misleading offer being promoted by Alaska Airlines, the "Flight Pass". I signed up for this offer that promises a free round trip flight, not including taxes, between a list of eligible airports in CA., NV, and AZ. Specifically, the offer is that $49 is charged monthly for a minimum period of 12 months, in return the customer is to receive 6 round trip flights. Each flight becomes eligible after 2 consecutive monthly payments. In addition, each flight pass has an expiration date of only 30 days after the 2nd payment and must be booked at least 14 days out. For example, I joined in 3/22 and paid $49 then was charged again on 4/1 another $49 and was given a credit for my "free flight" which I have to book after 4/15 and take before 4/30 or else it expires. There are no refunds and no opting out of this program before the 12 months.

Here's the catch, despite the verbiage of the contract stating "the majority of the flights will have fares of $0.01..." (please see below) the vast majority of the flights have special "Premium" prices and are far from being free. In fact only the most obscure times in the middle of the weekdays are eligible for the flight pass fare. Even common and numerous routes between SFO and LAX are subject to these "Premium" fares. This is fraudulent advertising. I called and was told there is no quitting the program before 12 months and I cannot get a refund of the money I have paid so far even though I have taken no flights.
