Default Disorganised unhelpful rude

My wife and I had travelled to Paris on our first holiday abroad in 15 years. The flight out was great, we had upgraded to Business Class online after phoning Air France and being told there were no Business Class seats available and been treated really good, as anxious flyers it helped our anxiety massively.

The issue came with our return flight, 1st no business class seats available, ok our own. Fault should have prebooked earlier. Check in online page messes up as we check in, recheck in and choose seats 11A and 11C extra legroom and paid the extra fee required. Gets to airport wait to board all ok. Issues start once on the plane. Firstly my wife was spoken to rudely by the female stewardess regarding her hand luggage. On the flight out we were told our bags could go under the seat, this time it was not to the case and the stewardess was abrupt and rude in demanding she move the bag and store it in the overhead storage. Right ok done, now we sit down and strap ourselves in ready for take off. We see other passengers having issues regarding double allocated seats, then it happened to us, apparently a couple had been allocated 11A and 11C also but they told us they hadn't paid extra whereas we had. The same rude stewardess came up and demanded we hand over our boarding passes, ours were on our phones. My wife's phone played up a little and was slow handing over the boarding pass to which the stewardess. Was huffing under her breathe. I understand they had issues but no need to take it out on paying passengers. The stewardess told us we had sat in the wrong seat, she said her system showed us as being 8A and 8C, which were standard economy seats not the extra legroom seats we had paid for. The other couple were happy to sit in 8A and 8C, this had done nothing to ease our anxiety levels. I had bought my wife a Cheshire Cat pillow on our holiday and she brought it on the plane with her and had it strapped in out of everyone's way and was using it as comfort for her anxiety. the same stewardess we'd had trouble with 2 occasions previously walked past demanded My wife hand over the pillow and took it away from her.
We were treated like scum, the whole flight was awful, both my wife and I had been planning on going back to Paris next year and travelling with Air France but this has most certainly put us off.
It showed us the difference paying extra makes to the flight as going out we were smiled at, spoken to politely and friendly yet in economy you are no-one and treated harshly
