Disorganized boarding, not in order
Boarding and take off is my problem.
I was traveling between New Orleans and Orlando with my nervous, first time flyer son and daughter. The general procedure is as follows: Arrive at least 1 hour before take off, check in at gate, receive a boarding pass, board air craft. I arrived 1hr. 30 min. before take off, with the intention of securing my three seats together. 5 minutes before the counter was opened people started lining up at the counter. So, I get in line. I secured numbers 14, 15, & 16. Upon arrival of the air craft people started lining up to board the plane. So 30 people are loading the plane, no matter what number boarding pass they have. Now everyone is on the air craft. The Steward announces we are delayed (10-20 min.) waiting on packages because we are doing a favor for someone. The same scenario on the return flight, with the exception, my boarding passes were 2, 3 & 4. The 10 to 20 min. delay was because we were waiting for our luggage to be loaded on the plane. |
