Default Poor Service

I’m a frequent traveler to Europe and often used Continental Airlines for my direct connection to London or Brussels.
Since United swallowed Continental the service is getting worse by the day.
Last month they cancelled all free drinks on oversea flights now this.
Last month I booked a flight for November to London booking showed Dinner on the flight to London, lunch on the return flight. Yesterday I received a change of Reservation, all flight times stayed the same, the only difference “NO MEALS” on an 8 hour trans Atlantic flight!
How low can they fall, will be my last trip with Continental Airlines.

Change to a European based carrier... they are also cutting, but they have a long way to fall before their standards of service reaches the low of US based carriers. You will have the further advantage of being able to claim your rights under 261/2004, which are far more extensive than those provided by the toothless DOT.

Thank you, Yes I do fly Lufthansa, British AIrways, Iceland Air and Alitalia and never had bad experience, as I said this is my last Continental flight.

Both Continental and United still serve meals on Trans-Atlantic flights. There is probably an error on the itinerary.

In Economy there is also free wine or beer with meal service however they do charge for mixed drinks and alcoholic beverages served outside of meal times.
