Delta has decided that using Pay with Miles exempts them from providing Medallion Qualification Miles or Air Mile accumulation on my trip from JAX to DTW on a fare worth almost $950. I chose to pay he addtl $95 each way for First Class upgrade which I paid back with 20K miles pay down. Why on earth would I know have to forgo my MQM earnings? It was not apparent this policy was in place at the time of booking. What logic can be applied to this other than Delta is trying to avoid mileage accumulation at any cost. Greedy bastards!!!
