theft in delayed baggage AmEagle 4574
I flew from Paris,France to Washington DC on Sept 7. My first flight was AA147 Paris to Boston and then Boston to Washington on American Eagle 4574. My bag referenced DCA AA 966828 (file locator SMKDEU) was delayed 2 days and when I finally got it, I found it had been opened and one item had been stolen: a 50ml spray of Yves St Laurent 'Elle' fragrance I had bought dutyfree on the plane as a present for my daughter for $66.
The reference of my purchase: flight AA0147 CDG BOS, order MIA805226/2/2, seat 34H, date 07/09/2008 09:43:35, Tran Type: sale, F/A:096119
The Washington AA agent (Rita?) I called on Sept 9 at 6.15 am when I got my bag told me I was the 2nd person to report a theft in a similar situation that morning, and she said AA would reimburse me.
