COMPLAINT: Air Maroc TWICE misplaced my suitcase on the same journey

I booked a flight with the dreaded Air Maroc from Madrid to Lagos(Nigeria)to spend Christmas 2012 and New Years in Lagos. The flight did transit in Casablanca(Morocco). When we arrived in Lagos my suitcase didn't turn up. It had been left behind in Casablanca-as had 20 other passengers suitcases. Everyday I went to the airport to see if my suitcase had arrived. I got it SEVEN(7)days later. Bear in mind I was only spending 14 days in Lagos. So for half my holidays I didn't have my own property with me.
When I flew back to Madrid I did transit in Casablanca again-and guess what? Yes, my suitcase went AWOL, AGAIN! As I had to fill in lost baggage forms I missed my pre-booked coach ride from Madrid to Seville.
So let this serve as a warning that Air Maroc treat their passengers with comtempt. Everyday I went to check if my suitcase had arrived, there were new passengers at the Lagos airport who had not received their suitcases. So it looks like Air Maroc has it in for travellers travelling to and from Nigeria.
Do NOT say you weren't warned...

You may be entitled to compensation under the Montreal Convention, which applies in this case The rules are here...

The Montreal Convention simply limits the air carrier's liability to 1,131 Special Drawing Rights (SDR) per passenger (the value of the SDR is calculated on a daily basis by the International Monetary Fund, 1 SDR is approximately 1.2 EUR). You should:

Complete a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) at the relevant baggage claims desk, typically located in the baggage reclaim area. Provide details of your bag and keep a copy for yourself.

Keep your boarding card and the baggage tags.

Ask about the air carrier's daily allowance policy

Request the contact details of the baggage department and ask if there is any online tracer system available to check the status of your bag.

Keep receipts for all necessary expenses resulting from the delay of your bag.
If you did all of this, you may be able to file a small claims court claim.
