Cancellation, no info
On the 28th of March, 2016, EZY5082 (LGW-ATH) was cancelled. None of the passengers were informed, even though most of us had given email contact. When we arrived at the airport, their staff (not really theirs, they rent them from the airport) did not have a clue, and changed their story about what we could do about 10 times in an hour.
Finally, we were all told to buy ourselves another ticker, and 'they expected' EasyJet would pay us back. No mention was given of the EU 400 euro cancellation compensation (this can be reduced to 200 euro if the AIRLINE pays for another flight - but not if the passenger pays and then gets their money back - there 400 euro is the compensation).
So far, EasyJet flatly refuses to talk to me on the phone, says that only emails are replyed to, and so far (3 working days) they have not even told me how (what papers to submit) to get my money (513 euro, about $585) back, let alone the 400 euro ($456) that they owe me.
I was a committed EasyJet passenger for 14 years (since 2002) - now I can no longer even advise people to fly with them. Try a full service instead - my wife had terrible experiences with Ryanair too, and we have little reason to try Norwegian or Wizz, the other two cheap European airlines.
