Just tried to book a flight to Asia 3 months ahead of time and after half an hour on the phone was told that nothing was available - not 1 seat. Spoke to a supervisor who also told me that nothing was available. I asked how far ahead of time I had to book to get a seat and was told that they could not tell me this. Exactly how a customer is supposed to plan vacation travel using miles I do not know - apparently this is an impossibility with American Airlines.
