Default Etihad Airlines - Excess baggage charges



I flew from Delhi to JFK and then at JFK I had a connecting flight to Denver.
At New Delhi airport, while checking in, Etihad crew member confirmed that the baggage has been checked in till my last destination - Denver.
And for the same reason, I need not to pay any excess baggage charges at JFK airport. But to my surprise at JFK airport, my baggage was moving on the trail.

There I had to pick up all my luggage and even the transfer desk charged me USD $40 for travel from JFK to Denver.

I wrote to Etihad feedback, customer care and at all the possible forums, but they seems to be deaf and dumb. They are not bothered to reply at all.

My experience and advise, opt for Qatar or Emirates.

Even the in cabin experience is not good, Cabin crew forgot to offer meal, movies options is too little.

God save their customers!!

Mayby your luggage was checked in but when arriving in the first airport in the us, you will need to clear immigration and customs.

If you have luggage you will need to collect it, pass trough customs and drop it again at the conveyor belt without getting new luggage tags.

I do not understand why people complain about to little choise of movie options, I don't think they ever flew when there was only one movie shown for everybody.

We are constantly upgrading, progressing each n every day and this response looks like coming from Ice age or Stone Age.

If I am spending the amount which other airlines charges and providing me the better services, I would compare and share my opinions.

Moreover I think you are not Etihad representative. If yes, i would say that this is the most unprofessional reply I ever got.

You had responded to 1st and last part, what about the USD40, If i was confirm that I need not to pay and at JFK, if airlines impose that to me.. how do you want me to react to it.

For you a lil advise my frnd.. I think you had been grounded and cherish your old days.

I thought this was a forum, did I ever tell I was an airline employee?? I came here also with a complaint what was handeled with, I just read through some posts, I just replied mostly to the first part of your post trying to explain why you could see your luggage on the conveyor belt although it was checked in for the whole way. You share your opion I react who I think

Everybody has his way of travel, I just like the airline to get me from point a to point b on time, what's the most important thing to me

Mayby to your surprise but I'm still young, mayby your expectations are just a little bit high, you are after all flying not in a movietheater, roughly 80 movies provided, yes I fully agree, if I go to an online shop I can order much more movies.

If you think the other airlines provide much better service why didn't you use them then

Why where you charged 40 usd then? overweight? Regardless what you've been told, like with every airline if you don't have anything in writting it's only they-told-me
