No Consideration
Our flight 1790 from Fort Lauderdale to Philadelphia March 6 was cancelled without explanation. I still cannot find out the reason. Some people on this flight checking in after us were put on the 3:30 flight to Philadelphia. We were at first booked on a flight the next morning, but our luggage was placed on the 3:30 flight. So we would have had to stay overnight without luggage. An agent booked us on a 10:00 p.m. flight that night from Miami instead. We arrived in Philadelphia at 1:00 a.m. but our luggage was not in that terminal since it arrived on an earlier flight at a different terminal. With my wife who had difficulty walking we had to walk to other terminals early in the morning trying to find our luggage, which we finally did. American Airlines doesn't think any of this is a problem or inconvenience.
