Terrible flying experience
To be very honest I thought flying with Qantas would be an amazing experience since I did quite an extensive research before booking y flight to Australia but honestly I was quite shocked with the experience I had flying with you guys.
It started at the airport in Sydney where the check-in lady refused to give an emergency exit seat or first aisle seat because I had not payed for that. I have 1,95m and I frequently fly with other airlines like Emirates, United and LAN and since they are able to see my height at the check in they always book seats that I can fit in. I had to fly a 12:40 minutes flight with my knees totally squeezed. After that I proceeded to departure gate and I was told that the flight was delayed due to problems with the entertainment system of the aircraft. As a consequence the flight was delayed for about 1:30 or 2 hours and I was still surprised because they were able to fix the entertainment system and all the passengers had to fly with no TV onboard. So besides having to fly with my knees squeezed (unfortunately I am not able to upload the pics here) I had no entertainment on board.
I had a connecting flight from Santiago to Rio de Janeiro (LA 0772) at 12:15 on Friday 27th (Santiago time) and because of the delay me and other passengers lost their connections to other countries. At the Qantas counter I was informed that Qantas had re-booked my flight for the next day same time and because of that I lost an important appointment in Rio. Qantas payed for the overnight at Holiday inn hotel, but I still missed my appointment in Rio de Janeiro.
The only thing Qantas was able to provide was a AUD 30 voucher in Sydney and the hotel night.
Honestly I will highly not recommend Qantas to my Brazilian friends flying from brazil to visit friends in Australia. I flew LAN before and despite the stop in Auckland is still a much better flying experience.
