Irresponsible and inconsiderate of the aged is how I would describe American Airlines personnel.
From the attendants who push the wheelchairs in New York to the female attendant in Key West airport, little consideration is given to our aged. Wheelchair attendants stop to be sociable to their friend causing passengers to miss their connecting flights. When flights are missed, no American personnel is willing to help and when passenger are force to take a bus instead of their connecting flight, attendants in Key West are inconsiderate about the delivery of baggage. Baggage is dropped and I mean just dropped at an 81 year old woman's feet and a door is slammed in her face. |

I agree, same thing happened at Ohare Airport in Chicago, we also had huge problems with getting a wheelchair, and to make it worse, we got attitude when what we needed was help. They have the worst of attendants for wheelchairs, and check in people that don't care about the elderly. So much so that they denied to check in my grandma, because we tried to argue a point w/ rude check in lady. Then the wheelchair girl was unhelpful, uncaring, and rude, as if elderly in wheelchair are just as capable of doing things as a young and able to walk people.
So much for their saying in their disabilty section that they will try to accomodate and give a pleasant experience.. You could also call the number on aa.com where you can place a complaint through the diability issues/ complaints. They have a number and someone calls you back. I got a call back. |
