Denied boarding stating my name was wrong during the 2nd leg of an international flight
I traveled from Dubai to Cleveland through Qatar Airways, who had partnered with Jetblue for local flight in USA. I completed my first leg of the journey From UAE to USA on Oct 18th 2022. I reached USA without any issue.
While my return flight was dated to be originally on the 3rd Fed 2023 it was preponed due to a personal emergency to 8th Jan 2023, Upon reaching the airport in Cleveland which was supposed to be handled by Jetblue i.e. from Cleveland to Boston. On reaching the airport and at the checkin Counter - I was denied boarding stating that my name was wrong. How was it possible that when i completed the first leg of the journey using the same documents and name that i have travelled before 3 times to the USA itself that i was held this time.
After trying to plead and discuss with the agent who rudely dismissed me, once the flight took off, he later confessed that it may have been an oversight that i was denied boarding. I had to rebook a flight back to the UAE for the next day which i travelled with the same name and documents which i was denied to board the previous day and i flew the same airline i.e. Qatar Airways and American Airlines - Not JETBLUE THIS TIME ( Cleveland to Dallas n then Qatar to Dubai)
They have not responded to any concerns raised here and i had to spend 800$ for a flight which i wrong fully denied boarding by an agent who claimed i had wrong name but have flown and flew again in the past few months internationally.
I am looking for re compensation for the harassment, delay, extra money spent to reach my destination.
