deceiving advertising & flight credit issue
Subject: Complaint Regarding Flight Credit Policy and Customer Service Experience
I recently purchased two flights through my account, paid with my own funds, under the assumption that any potential flight credits from cancellations or changes would be linked to my account. However, I later discovered that these credits are tied to each passenger rather than the purchaser, which was unexpected.
Additionally, when I tried to book a flight under my own name using these credits, the option to apply the flight credit was unavailable at checkout. After four days of back-and-forth with customer service, I was repeatedly given the same instructions, yet the issue remained unresolved, preventing me from redeeming the credits independently.
To finally resolve this, I had to call and wait on hold for an hour and a half to speak with a representative who could manually apply the credits. Due to the delay, the ticket price increased, and I had to pay an additional $52.
This experience has been beyond disappointing, and after this trip, I will no longer consider this airline.
