
I want to express my extreme displeasure how I was treated by Qatar Airways and the travel agency Orbitz! On 5 Dec 07 I was late because the chartered bus I was on got bogged down in traffic going to London Heathrow Airport. I understood I was late and checked the terms and conditions of my ticket and I was suppose to pay $100-$200 as a fee for changing the departure. I was told by the lady at the counter that Qatar Airways could not help me out and to contact Orbitz. I called Orbitz and they bounced me back to Qatar Airways. Back and forth so finally I called my wife and bought another ticket because I was not being helped out. After arriving at my desination I tried to get a refund and Orbitz and Qatar Airways still gave no help. After 4 months of calling Orbitz and Qatar Airways and spending honestly no kidding over $100 in phone charges I finally was able to get some help. I had to make at least 50 phone calls becuase of their incompetency.They promised to refund my ticket but sure enough I had to call back 3-4 times and they dropped the ball again. Finally, today I received the refund after 6 months of hassles and phone calls. What a headache!!! I was treated very unprofessionally by Qatar Airways and Orbitz after explaining to them numerous times on the telephone that because of the chartered bus I was late. They were complete idiots in telling me well if I was not late this would not have happen. I explained to them I had no control over the traffic or chartered bus. What really ticked me off here I am in London, England stuck at Heathrow Airport and I could get NO ZERO help from my ticket agent Orbitz or Qatar Airways. They were very rude and unprofessional and I will never fly Qatar Airways or use Orbitz Travel ever again!!!
