Dress, Pants & Ring Stolen in Checked Luggage
 

On Sunday, 6/28/09, I flew from Baltimore MD home to Ft. Lauderdale FL. Got home about 6:30 and crashed of exhaustion. Went to work Monday and after work about 7:00 opened my luggage to unpack. I immediately noticed that by grocery bag containing my dress, ring and my husbands pair of pants was missing. We tried customer service and they closed at 5:00pm. The next morning my husband called and the agent gave us the story that policy states we need to notify them of lost items within 4 hours of the flight. She was not understanding and basically told us too bad. The total value was only $170, but that dress was my favorite and was just purchased. I'm guessing because my $50 ring looked real, they quickly stole the whole bag (I normally carry my jewelry but we were in a hurry and had wipped everything off into the bag. Now I can't find that dress anywhere. It was on the clearance rack. I am more than ****** off. It was my first experience with Southwest and the worst ever. I'd rather pay double for a ticket on any other airline. We're writing the upper management about this, but good luck to us for even getting a response!
